AI chips situation and why the USA cannot afford China to own Taiwan again

  • This is an excellent video. Not a lot of people clarify the role of Nvidia in term of who is designing and who's making advanced AI chips
  • So now I understand why China wants to invade Taiwan. Because TSMC Taiwan is producing 80%-90% of advanced AI chips for the Magnificent 7 stocks. . The magnificent 7 stocks which, represents a large chunk of the S&P 500.
  • There are only two companies in the world produce this advance AI chips: TSMC Taiwan and Samsung But....... the kicker is Samsung doesn't have the same skills and decades of chip making knowledge as TSMC Taiwan.
  • During Covid, Nvidia relied on Samsung for their Ai chips. Samsung didn't meet Nvidia's standard - 30% of the products were defective.
  • The US said they would rather destroy the AI machines from TSMC Taiwan if China ever invaded Taiwan because truly there is only 1 company in the world that has the decades of skills and knowledge to produce advanced AI chips like TSMC Taiwan.
  • The USA doesn't want China to control the AI chip making business as well since they are already controlling 70%-80% of global supply of the the rare earth elements, but they also are controlling the mining, reserves, processing and refining stages of production as well.

  • This picture shows that all major American companies which are responsible for the rise/fall of the S&P 500 stock market get their AI chips from ONE COMPANY TSMC Taiwan. Only this company has decades of knowledge and know how to produce advanced AI chips for Nvidia. Each of their AI machines cost about $200M. If anything happens to this company, the S&P market is screwed
  • The video said China has been building and testing 70 landing fairies to be ready to use to invade Taiwan by 2027. The distance between China and Taiwan is only 100 miles.
